Anxiety, now this is one subject I really know! I have suffered (and I am still suffering) from Anxiety for the past 3 years.

Anxiety affects everyone in different ways but I guess (like me) if you suffer from anxiety then the majority of the symptoms below you have experienced in different levels of severity.

If you are really Anxious and you feel that you are not able to deal with a given situation then try the following method of calming yourself down:

  1. Remove yourself from the situation that has caused the Anxiety (if possible).
  2. Say “STOP” to yourself.
  3. Breathe in deeply and breathe out slowly (try breathing in throuth your nose & breathing out through your mouth). As you do so, drop your shoulders and relax your hands.
  4. Breathe in deeply again and as you breathe out, make sure your teeth aren’t tightly together.
  5. Take two small quiet breaths.
