Armed Forces Day will be on Saturday, 29 June 2013.
It’s an opportunity to do two things. Firstly, to raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, Secondly, it gives the nation an opportunity to Show Your Support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families and from veterans to cadets.
Across the country people are getting involved: communities hold local events and business show their support.
The National Event will be held in Nottingham, but there are many more events up and down the country being held in support of Armed Forces Day.
Combat Stress has just started a new Outreach Support Group in Bury St Edmunds. The meetings will be held every 3rd Thursday of the month between 1-3pm at the Quaker Meeting House.
The first meeting was held on the 18th April and more meetings are planned for the following dates: 16th May; 20th June; 18th July; 15th Aug; 19th September; 17th October; 21st November and 19th December.
